Oliver Lewis is a sound designer, electronic composer, filmmaker & visual artist with a recent focus in generative video, illustration and custom trained neural networks. Working in both analogue and digital mediums, Oliver’s solo work often excretes a lysergic strain of dystopian futurism, rendering digital elements into fragmented patterns with analogue details, accentuating and processing the inherent faults, glitches and textures of the mediums and technologies in use.

His penchant for sound manipulation and composition can also be heard in his freelance soundtrack commissions, including dozens of indie animations and a some kitschy sci-fi synth scores for documentaries on N*tflix/Am*zon.

Oliver’s solo and collaborative work has been presented at Montreal galleries such as oboro, articule and Eastern Bloc, with international film screenings at festivals such as Berlinale, Ottawa International Animation Festival, Festival du nouveau cinéma de Montréal, and many others.
