Oliver Lewis is a sound designer, electronic composer, filmmaker, visual artist and collector of curiosities.

Working in both analogue and digital mediums, Oliver’s artistic output often delves into a surrealistic strain of dystopian futurism, rendering digital elements into fragmented patterns with analogue details, accentuating and processing the inherent faults, glitches and textures of the mediums and technologies in use, while embracing and magnifying the contrast between
hi-fi & lo-fi techniques.

His penchant for sound manipulation and composition can also be heard in his freelance film-sound and music commissions, including dozens of indie animations and some kitschy sci-fi synth scores for documentaries that were featured on N*tflix/Am*zon.

Oliver’s solo and collaborative work has been presented at Montreal galleries such as oboro, articule and Eastern Bloc, with international film screenings at festivals such as Sundance, Berlinale, Ottawa International Animation Festival, TIFF, Festival du nouveau cinéma de Montréal, and many others.
